Want Consistency? Use the New Slide Button!

Whether you’re creating a presentation from scratch or editing an existing one, you’ll want to make sure your presentation is consistent and polished.

You can when you insert a new slide by clicking the lower half of the New Slide button on the Home or Insert tab. Choose the layout that best suits the content you want to place on the slide.

By consistently using the slide layouts available on this button, you’ll see how the title, text placeholder, footer and slide numbers will be positioned in the same place on all the slides using that layout. That makes a pretty good-looking presentation!
